Two A.Ls.s., 4pp., 8vo, 12 Upper Gower St., Thursday [3 Feb., 1842]—Athenaeum Club, 20 August, 1848, to Dr. Booth, the first soliciting Booth's vote at the Athenaeum "in favour of my brother Erasmus Darwin," the second saying that he has been persuaded to write direct to Dr. Gould at Boston, who "has attended to cirripedia more than anyone else," thanking his correspondent for "all your sympathy & assistance about Chloriform," etc.: inserted, together with A.Ls.s. of John Tyndall, T. H. Huxley and Lord Derby, in a copy of Darwin's "Journal of Researches into the Geology and Natural History of the various countries visited by H.M.S. Beagle" (1839), title loose, original cloth repaired, spine broken and covers detached, 8vo.
