Three Interesting A.Ls.s., c. 17 pages, 8vo., Down, 14 December, [1866]-1 February, [1867], [to William Turner, Professor of Anatomy at Edinburgh]: concerning the preparation of material for the writer's book "The Variation of Animals and Plants under Domestication," explaining that since there has been so much discussion "on the bearing of such views as I hold, on Man, I have some thoughts of adding a chapter on the subject," and discussing those points concerning rudimentary structures in Man on which he requests further information from his correspondent, a few rust-marks from paper clips

*** The Variation of Animals and Plants under Domestication was eventually published in 1868.
