A are seedlings from short-styled Hom. plant (no IV of former experiments, which is from short-styled by own pollen) crossed homomorphically: so there are grandchildren of first cross in both generations being short-styled, homomorphically united.—
Result.
Self-fertilised set no seed
12 flowers crossed homomorphically (black thread) with own form pollen yielded 12 pods, containing an average 28.2 seed, but omitting two poor pods (with 6 & 7 seed) average is 32.6. —
From flowers crossed heteromorphically (white thread.) with long-styled flowers (C).— (homomorphic grandchildren of no relatedness by descent of first homomorphic cross of long-styled) gave 4 pods containing on average 32.2 seed. So a heteromorphic union with a very perfectly distinct homomorphic plant gave no good. —
