Echium vulgare. Two forms one with much smaller flower & short white filaments & rudimentary anthers & shorter pistil, with apparently 30 ♀good stigma.
Case like Thyme ─ both forms had seed.─ There were many of that female flowers.─ R Vaucher not to be trusted. ─ 1862, 1864, & 1866
