Origanum consists of 2 forms

N.B. the female flowers must be fertilised by pollen f from a distinct plant.─ The [illeg] flower may be fertilised only by pollen from a distinct flower they probably by pollen from a distinct plant.

Can it have any relation to spreading by rhizomes or [structure] &c. as in Thyme & Organum.
