Oxalis species A mid-styled. ie between 2 sets of stamens
O. rubella (1 pot) long-styled.—
O. Cunæfolia (white) long-styled with 2 sets of anthers close together — all Bulbs
O. cernua (yellow) all bulbs short-styled.
1866 May
O. compressa (yellow) all short-styled (May 1866) pollen from longer & shorter stamen plainly different when viewed together in size; that from shorter st. being about 12-13/7000 & that from longer stamens 15/7000 of inch in length & not moistened.— Pollen remarkably good, & plant very healthy & not too lax [illeg]. 14 flowers fert. by pollen of long st. black Thread & 15 fl by short stamens. All these dropped off & did not produce one capsule.—
