It is absolutely certain that the broad points of calyx meet, between the long outer points & the bases of the petals ─ in short that so called calyx & the petals make 3 whorls.─
In L. thymifolia the shorter stamen are all aborted ─ in L. hyssipifolia some or all of do are aborted.
