Primula veris vulgaris

Relative length of pistils in the 2 forms measured from top of ovary to top of stigma as 100 to 51.4

The stigma of longstyled is decidedly more globose

[sketch] short-styled long-styled

The two stigma are of the same width but the length of the short styled in smaller in the proportion of 60 li 75 or 80 to 100

The stigma of long styled is much more papillose, the difference being clearly visible with simple lens

The relative length of styles without stigmas is as 100 to 48.4

The short-styled pollen is to long-styled in diameter (when swollen by water ) as 100 to 71

Long-styled pollen-grains is are more transparent (in water) & is are when dry decidedly narrower in proportion to their length than the short-styled grains
