Phlox subulata
Short-styled in 1 flower stigma below tip of sepal in 2d sp on level with middle of 2 lower of graduated anthers
In long-styled stigma of mouth of corolla (in 2d specimen projecting out of mouth)
(Anther in the 2 forms in nearly same position upperm one just projecting out of throat of corolla ─ lowermost one low down)

Kew spec E long-stigma but on level with uppermost anthers.
I may say in both forms the length of the pistil in position of the stigma somewhat variable.
; but in another case cases in the pair of flowers a pistil, where for the whole position of the stigma to the anther, was considered as short-styled

But in another pair of pair of the one when judging from the position of the stigma, [illeg] to the anther & fro was a short-style one, the had as pistil which was actually longer than that of the long-styled,
