Buck-wheat Polygonum, fertilised during 1867.

Longs-styled. The fert crossed bundle of flowers produced, 21 & 1 seed = 22

The self-fert. bundle of flowers produced 9, 3, 2 seed = 14

The 22 crossed seed weighed 9.13 gr.

The 14 self-seed weighed 4.74 ∴22 of the seed cd have weighed only 7.45 gr.

Short-styled

The crossed seed produced 1 & 7 = 8   30

The self-fer seed produced 4, 1, 2, & 2 seed. = 9    23
