W May 29th, 30' & 31st 1879. Wistaria sinensis— long twining shoot, standing up almost highly inclined, in front of N.E window— days rather cloudy— revolution to & from the light. — Probably ament of error about 5' to 1'

[right margin:] it was evident that whole shoot did not bend towards light
