To day at 12°, I moved plant, whence it was slightly shaded into the sun, & I watched one of little leaflets, & it moved with surprising quickness, so as to face the sun, as it branched by edges of bigger leaflets, I saw it through weak lens, perceptibly start forward! Light Mimosa albida
