The power of reversing reversing curvature when pot slewed round shows that overhanging weight can do little in [causing] curvature of Cots of Phalaris.
So again splinter of glass in upper part which are than kept straight (& yet, I believe whole cot. bend) shows how unimportant weight is.—
What wd be effect of placing pot before bright where light & geotropic cd. act [sketch]

When tin caps or glass pipes were put on & cots become slightly curved, then if weight of any consequence— these wd have become more curved than any, bearing in mind that basal part exposed to light—
