Red Cabbage

Exposed S.W window from 9° 15 to 4° 30' (The greater part of day very cloudy & raining All with gold-Beaters skin .3 deep, either painted with Lamp black or left unpainted

(1) Plant 1.3 High well curved to light, curvature extends down to .25 from ground

(2) same height: moderately curved to light: slight curvature extends down to .3 of ground

(3) 1.17 high Painted ✓ Well curved, as much as neighbours

(4) 1.4 high Well curved like neighbours

(5) 1.6 high Painted ✓ very considerably curved almost as much as any tall neighbours

(6) 1.0 high Well curved, curvature extends far down

(7) 1.0 high Painted — very slightly curved to light, different from all neighbours, but the slight curvature extends far down

(8) 1.35 Well curved

(9) 1.0 Painted slightly curved

10) 1.3 Painted moderately curved, but part beneath black, not curved like neighbours

E Painted tall curved to light, but not quite as much as neighbour

D — as much curved as neighbours

Failure shows painting on Gold-Beaters to depth of .3 of inch skin does not stop curved
