It is said that same bed cannot have same direction at very great distances, but a force may act over any tract of the globe in a line intersecting the meridian at a certain angle. (does not parallel lines same bearing, placed on every meridian at a certain angle form a series of curves? ie A certain Curve traced on globe may in every part have same bearing?

The grouping of ingredients by cleavage is nothing surprising because we see it in formation of concretionaires - layers (& probably generally in Tertiary Formations
