10A A

April

Drosera 1873

Ap. 14. 9˚ Am cut off 4 heads glands on one near side of leaf & 1 on opposite side & put on meat — (leaf had recently caught minute flies)

Ap 15. 9˚15 all the cut ones inflected & almost all others, removed meat. (to the right of yellow stick)

Ap 14. 8˚45' tied some glands with Hair

― 9˚15' on same leaf cut off several gland near pedicel & elsewhere & put on Blue glass. (Yellow stick leaf to left)

Ap 15th several of these now bent in more or less, took off glass.

― on leaf with match cut off Heads on several tentacles on opposite side — piece of white glass.

10˚ 20' several with cut off Heads have curled in

—Ap 15. 8' took off glass.

Ap. 16th These seem all straight again (good to observe whether killed by operation)

Ap 17th The tent with no heads look healthy & all in normal position

Ap. 15th put on bit of cork last night (Red & Blue match), this morning 8˚45 found tentacles a little incurved on upper side & cut off glands off several. (Ap. 16th (These seem all now curved outwards)

Ap. 17th certainly all in normal position curved backwards. —

April 24th 5˚ P.m. I found some of the tentacles without heads alive & not withered.

Remember (Jun 25) I now know the short tentacles on disc can bend. (over)
