April 24 /73/ Tobacco covered with innumerable Hairs, longer & shorter, divided by partition, with head formed of many cells, containing green matter & each with little contained sphere—

Placed in water & infusion of raw meat for 26˚, no difference in appearance. This may be trusted. — also put leaves after meat for about 2˚ in Sol. of C. of Ammonia & no difference between the specs which had been in meat infusion of meat & water cd be detected.
