Index & Abstract of Pure Water experiments Eastbourne.

I give abstract of 11 leaves, but than I did not then distinguish inflection of long-Headed & oval Headed.

At p 22 I speak of 4 leaves in "pure" water & 3 became much inflected in 3˚. —

At p. 26 I put 4 leaves in "distilled" water for from 2˚ 40' to 3˚ 50' — "marginal tentacles more or less inflected"; in 2 spec. about 1/2 inflected; in other 2 a fewer number.—

(I am inclined to believe that some of the cases of inflection were due of the oval-glands to their being touched, whilst turned upside down —) & pushed under water.—
