July 16th    Nitrate of Ammonia    1 gr. t 300 oz.

(5) water 8O 35' (9. 18' 3 or 4 marginal sub-inflect) (4O. 34' abut 9 sub-inflected, some that were inflected now reexpanded) (4O 45' all bit one reexpanded.)

Nitrate    8O' 29' (8. 38' much inflect) 9. 18' 31 [+] 18 [=] 49 all but 16 inflected & some of those torpid from having caught small fly) —(4O. 34', exactly the same) (4O 48', all but 14 inflected)

(6) water 8O 37 (9. 20' 6 marginal inflected) (4O 35' 4 inflected)    (4O. 48', 5 marginals inflected, slight ring on disc)

nitrate    8O. 30' (8O 38' some inflect) 9. 18' all but 16 inflected & some of these torpid from having caught small fly (9. 20' a large number inflected)

(11O 35'abut half inflected)    (4O 48' reexpanding)

(7) water 8O 38'    (9.. 20', O') (11O 35' O) (4O 48' trace of ring on disc)

nitrate    8O 31' (9. 21' all but 20 extreme marginal inflected) (11O 37' all but 22 inflected)    (4O 50' reexpanding)

It is quite probable that of I had tried many some wd have had all inflected with this strength

(8) water 8O 40'    (4O 22', O) (11O 37' one on the sub-marginal sub-inflected)    (4O 50' not more inflected)

nitrate    8O 33' (9. 23' a large number inflected) (11O 40' ‹al› 29 marginals sub-inflected & some few closely inflected) (4O 50' now a ring on disc)

9. 23', conspicuous difference between the nitrate & Water & between these & those with 1 gr t 400 oz (11O 40' difference still more conspicuous) 4O 50' Difference perhaps less, but still very plain.)
