damp Litmus left on leaf for 24˚ did not cause any acid secretion — left large drop of weak infusion of raw meat for 24˚ on leaf & then examined hairs on und upper & under side, & on another leaf on which water alone had been placed, & I could detect no difference in contents of cells of long or short hairs — there were hyaline & motionless little spheres in most of cells in all the specimens — Leaves good & growing.
