July 12'    8O 33'.   (6 sticks yellow & red)

Strong infusion of grass-leaves (2 or 3 species) of grass.    boiled for some time.

(11O 5'    laminae of 4 of leaves vastly inflected)

(11O 35' seen to acts on lamina before acting on marginal tentacles    can it be endosmosis — observe whether marginals are inflected tomorrow.)

July 13'    8O 50'.    there seem to be no proper inflection of the surrounding tentacles. only inflection of the lamina of leaf.

July 14th    8O 30 — the fluid absorbed — & laminae straight & the tentacles expanded. — Leaves seem rather injured.— There has been no true inflection. — Was all albumen deposited through boiling — (the decoction was allowed to settle for 24O & then decanted)

(41

July 12th    8O 45'    (5 red sticks) very strong infusion of tea, almost thick.

(11O 27' no distinct inflection)

(2O. 30 no proper inflection, but laminae of 2 leaves. a little bent)

(July 13th    8O 45'    no inflection of tentacles, excpt a little drawing together of the inner marginals in close contact with the thick infusion. which was not filtered. Put on raw meat on 3 of the leaves, in the midst of the infusion.)

July 14'    8' 20'    no inflection of the 2 leaves without meat— Great inflection (with laminae of 2 leaves) of the 3 with meat & aggregation of contents.
