Oct. 25. Long-Head — I shd say above a dozen cells at bending place
In t. I can see no difference in thickening of transverse & long cell-walls
Cells in to of 2d row 23-25 divisions of micrometer — on disc one of longest cells & manyvery much smaller only about 13 — long — I may say on average more more than twice as long — or only much more elongated "absolutely & relatively"
I can see on disc no difference in end walls & sides in thickness
Cells radiate from base of exterior rows so that the radiation comes very near each other & may account for lateral intercommunication there is [illeg] of cells over base of central t in Cells — certainly radiate from petiole.
All pedicels flattened — more so exteriorly
(Centre to 4 or 5 rows on one face
I had better say 5 rows, as near as I cd judge
6 rows in both exterior t
