Oct 27 /74/. long-section of disc of Drosera (Frank) 5 or 6 rows of cells— q rather larger & quite as longitudinal as the exterior ones.

(There are long cells of fibrous nature with spiral vessels, & it was these which I did not cut through in exper. I think)

In transverse section I can see the medial layer of cells larger — all rounded in transverse section those on surface as well as in middle — All then I had better say is that the interior layers of cells are larger, & ar equally elongated in longitudinal same direction as those on surface; & that I do not know whether the m. impulse is transmitted by these or by surface.
