Fibrin

May 5th /74 / 8° 30'

4 stick-matches—

Put on 4 leaves atoms of fibrine washed out of glycerine so small viz about 1/40' of inch across & rather longer, that I feel sure wd have been absorbed dissolved if albumen in 24° or 30h. — touched damped these with saliva & touched surrounding tentacles with do.—

May 6th 8° 3 of leaves well inflected — the 4th only very slightly.—

May 7.' 8. all 4 leaves well inflected

May 8' 8° Am. 1 leaf fully expanded by scraping disc I think remnants of fibrin

2 almost fully ― some slight remnants

3 fully expanded in separation of tents little masses of viscid matter had collected on outer tentacles, & these were filled with disintegrated atoms of fibrin

4' almost fully expanded— just the same about viscid drops & some remnant on the disc as in no I
