Sept 28 Ping. vulgaris
A young plantfrom N. Wales with leaves from tip to tip across about 2 3/4 inches, had tuft 18 roots, an inch in length.
Another young plant had 8 roots about just above 3/4 of inch in length — leavesfrom tip to tip 2 1/4.
