2 cabbage seeds were put on Pinguicula Lusitanica on July 10th 8h 15m p.m. & caused much secretion & were overlapped by margin — On 13th at 8° A.m put on damp sand & never germinated & were found on 24th quite rotten.

P. vulgaris the 2 seeds of what I called Festuca & wh. Hooker says were Avena (see M.S.) were put on sand on July June 8th both germinated after several days — one grew well; the other had radicle all brown & withered. Two Rumex seeds planted at the same time one germinated, but had radicle all browned & withered; the other has not yet germinated.
