Put several pieces of the flower stalk into a solution of Carb: Ammia. {gr 2 to [symbol] i} for nearly an hour —
The glands have changed in colour from a transparent or bright pinky-purple to a dull blue-purple— No marked aggregation— Raid circuln of very minute spheres in the footstalks of the glands—
After 8hrs 1/2 immersion in same solution the colour is discharged from the glands—
In structure the glands appear identical with the ones on the leaves—
