average by leaves per plant

Moths – Ant - Spiders

Total no. of leaves

No. of leaves with insects

total no. of insects

(20 to 24 July 16th- 20 to 24 on many leaves)

In this list each letter represents a different plant and each figure the no. of insects on an individual leaf. Thus plant A has 8 leaves first two leaves examined had no insects 3rd had one 4th, 3 & so on.

80 leaves have been examined of wh. 63 had insects on, ie 79 per cent

I think from the number of other plants I have looked at that a wider average would not produce a materially different result
