Utricularia minor

Sep 13.74

Spines on the branches shorter & fewer

General way of growth

Bladders are smaller and more globular

[insertion] Stomata exist as usual

The antennæ are curled in under over the valve then both drawn and are armed with 12 or 14 very long spines which are mostly arranged in pairs. There are also about 7 or 8 long spines on the margin [illeg] of the rim on each side of the antennæ. fewer glands on & over the valve. The clubheaded glands around the margin seem rather more elongated comparatively than in U. vulgaris. The bifid spines are similar to vulgaris.

The valve & ribbon has the same general structure; they bear spherical glands. The [sketch] shaped glands seem to be represented by ones shaped something in the same way [sketch]. The spines on the valves are short & only have 2 points. The quadrifid spines are peculiarly arrayed: not [sketch] but [sketch]. The "stomata" appears to be the same.

[79v]

Sept 65 Less Branched – Branches bifid all the parts smaller – general appearance different less [illeg] – Air in Bladders.
