July 13' at 9° cut off 3 leaves & placed them on damp paper under cover & put on atoms of raw meat — at 9° 40', here & there a few tentacles inflected, perhaps those that had been touched by meat

10° 45' a good deal of inflect. 3° a great deal but not all — July 14th 8° — laminæ & all leaves more or less inflected & tentacles of all, except outer ones of one— much aggregation of in cells.—
