By weight.
(Used)
300 300 of my minute drops weighed 13 gr. 96 weighed carefully by Horace
(There is some loss from evaporation)
.0465
∴ is 1/19.4 of a minim.
On this occasion I endeavoured to take as large drops as possible
I then took 200 200 drops with care, as much as possible such as I used & weighed in very light vessel with care & this weight was 2.055 gr
Hence each drop weighs .010275 of gr. & each equal 1/89 of a minim.

Thinking that there might be some error in the 300 drops supposed to weigh 1396 gr. I took out of same vessel by pin 150 drops as large as I could — often dipping the pin several times.
These 150 drops weighed 5.83gr
∴ 300 drops wd weigh. 11.66 gr.
And one drop wd weigh .0388 grs.
An 1/23.5 of a minim
(Used)
If I assume each drop is 1/20th of a minim, I certainly shall not err. be far wrong in the maximum quantity given t the 3 glands.—
