5. Yellow sticks June 20 11º 35 Drops on leaves

Diluted Alcohol. 7 mi 1 minim drach to 7 of water.

5º P.m. no action in 3 of leaves; but on 2 which had formerly caught minute Diptera. increased action (perhaps the spreading of animalised matter; perhaps the stimulus.) (Jun 21— 8º. 15' no effect produced. apparently not injured those which had flies do not seem injured. have now tentacles, straight —) (5º P.m. no effect whatever

(22nd 8º 15 no effect; put on bits of meat on 2 of leaves.)

23d 8º. 50', these 2 leaves with meat splendidly clasped; the other appear not in the least injured. — (This seems contrast with Theine & Nicotine &c— compare times)
