5. Yellow sticks June 20 11° 35 Drops on leaves

Diluted Alcohol. 7 mi 1 minim drach to 7 of water.

5° P.m. no action in 3 of leaves; but on 2 which had formerly caught minute Diptera. increased action (perhaps the spreading of animalised matter; perhaps the stimulus.) (Jun 21— 8°. 15' no effect produced. apparently not injured those which had flies do not seem injured. have now tentacles, straight —) (5° P.m. no effect whatever

(22nd 8° 15 no effect; put on bits of meat on 2 of leaves.)

23d 8°. 50', these 2 leaves with meat splendidly clasped; the other appear not in the least injured. — (This seems contrast with Theine & Nicotine &c— compare times)
