Drosera
June 27th 11.— (only just presenting acid to taste)
Propionic acid 1 to 437.5 of water 3 leaves in 90 minims

(12. .50'.) after 1. 50' .
2. 40', 1 leaf greatly inflected
2. & 3. slightly— after 3. 40'
(5' 30' 1 incurving gland white; a 2d considerably & 3d much sub-inflection.)
(7. very Strong inflection in all 3 leaves) —except one incurving so still after 8.
27' 7. 30 after 20h — no movement in fluid perfect (illegible) (some aggr. ?) glands very pale pink, but oddly some on disk blackened
(Slow inflection, & no increase.)
28th 9. — washed & put in water — leaf which was most affected & soonest viz at 2. 40' was carefully examined — No aggregation, but traced brown of the protoplasm oddly collected in base of cells.— this leaf most flaccid — death might have stopped subsequent process of aggregation — I also examined 1 of other leaves, which may recover & no trace of aggregation — I might put in C. of Ammonia at 9. 30' at 3. 30' no trace of aggregation, all discoloured)Citation: John van Wyhe, ed. 2002-.
