Put 3 bits of raw meat on tr on lower surface of base of tentacles & produced no effect.
(It seems my old note that I tried this before see back)
Aug 29th 8' 45. Pricked with needle middle of upper surface of 2 leaves, but am not sure that I did not touch glands, & in one case marginal tentacles at 5˚40' some inflection in both which had become much reduced in 24°.
Aug 30 draw needle from back through 4 leaves, but cd not help touching some outside tent. & perhaps some in centre, all 4 leaves were partially inflected, I incline doubtfully to think upper surface is sensitive
