Club-headed. (I may add that the cells of of in the short pedicels of the short tentacles on the central disc (Central Tentacles) contain green, instead of purple fluid; but & that this likewise undergoes segregation into continually changing masses of greenish protoplasm.)
I occasionally, though rarely saw after the onset of segregation another phenomenon within the cells of the pedicels of the marginal tentacles, after the segregation of their contents, namely a perfectly distinct circulation of the colourless contained fluid. Small & variously
