The volume CUL-DAR61 contains Darwin's draft essay 'On the movement of the leaves of Drosera', written 1872-1873. He intended to publish this with a revised edition of Climbing plants before commencing a larger book draft in April 1874 which became Insectivorous plants. leaf with bright red glands was placed in some n in about 60 minims of the flui solution: 1 gr to 16 oz in 36' there was some inflection, & in 1º 16' from the period of immersion every single tentacle had become greatly strongly well inflected, & all the glands blackened. After an interval of 5º there was well-marked segregation beneath all the glands of all the tentacles.
