leaf with bright red glands was placed in some n in about 60 minims of the flui solution: 1 gr to 16 oz in 36' there was some inflection, & in 1° 16' from the period of immersion every single tentacle had become greatly strongly well inflected, & all the glands blackened. After an interval of 5° there was well-marked segregation beneath all the glands of all the tentacles.
