p.79 enumerates 57 accidental species & 185 indigenous (migratory & non-migratory) — of accidental birds 20 belong to plains — 16 aux marais— 21 to lake.— (Curious considering this fact & analogous cases in Britain, that distribution of birds so constant — a new comer must find it hard to settle, — capabilities of every country is well experimentised on by new arrivers.—

p.80 — There are some migratory species, which one sees frequently in their Spring passage, which do not appear on their return. as cranes & crabiers — others one sees only in autumn & not in spring.—
