American & European plants we find (1) "nearly allied geographical species" (2) Geographical Varieties, "where no specific distinction can be discovered, but where the American & European variety can always be distinguished by some points of minor importance." (3) Identical plants p. 95. Erigeron Canadense & Oenothera biennis are now as widely naturalised in Europe, as Taraxicum Dens-leonis in America.
