movements would have been highly expressive, as we see in some monkeys, in the horse and especially in the dog;─ that is if the progenitors of man had been accustomed to fight together with their teeth, as seems probable, for we now still uncover the one The canine tooth on one side when we sneer at or defy anyone; and we uncover all our teeth, when furiously enraged.
