Genista tinctoria

Flowers when free are formed all with keel & wings deeply depressed & open like jaw of animals widely open. — Flowers, opened in expanded kept in glass of water, when keel & wings are pressed spring down & stamens & pistil spring up towards standard, & at same time eject a little cloud of pollen; which would dust insects. — Flower kept in water did not spontaneously open, so I do not doubt require insects —
