Aug 17 /73/ I now know that ther are nectar-like holes in the staminal tube of Lathyrus pratensis, sylvestris, maritimus & macrorrhizus, (all British sp) & not in L. odoratus & grandiflorus. — The Abinger case of sweet Pea shows that Bees can enter under single stamen, but as this not usual method it bothers them.
