Pot III. Nine (9) seeds of each kind sown on opposite sides.
(Sept 8th — in Pot I. crossed rather finest; in two other Pots all equal.)
(Oct. 6 The plants are equal, perhaps the self-fertilised the finest & tallest in Pot. 2 & 3.) —
(Dec. 30 67. The plants are now about 10 inches high, & in two of the pots the selfs have a slight but decided advantage.)
(April. 10. 68. The selfs have decided advantage, how odd!) & so always continued with a decided & still greater advantage, but I forgot to measure.)
