In embryos of air-breathg vertebrates are there slits on side of neck—? (Yes) the arteries do run in loop-like course as if to supply branchiae on the arches.—

G. Breschet. (Annales des Sci Nat 2O series. Zoolog. Tome X p. 99 . says in sternum of man 2 little knobs at upper end, sometimes present, & which are rudiment of an end of ribs, properly belonging to the 7th cervical vertebrae.
