The diseases of the Ear by J. Toynbee F.R.S 1860

p. 12 has collected all evidence on use of external ear, & many have maintained that no sort of use; & he gives a detailed case that this is so. There are doubt in regard to opposite assertion that the removal of the ear, renders the person hard of hearing. Say we may conclude that of no use, from facts given by Toynbee.
