Sept 4/68/ When a species gets isolated, the two sets of conditions will cause slight different variations to arise for sexual selection to act on; & possibly the taste of two sets of birds may not remain quite the same: some secured on a truly plain & wooded mountain, probably acquire different tastes for all beautiful objects.
