July 16/69 Sexual Selection — Man
The man which whatever they may have been as boys, when adult are strongest, biggest & most courageous eager lovers, & most energetic Hunter, get wives & bear & rear most progeny — They exercise same qualities & prowess & when adult & thus increase them. Hence they tend to be transmitted to their male offspring offspring alone. The females do not exercise these qualities so much when adult & do not may increase from inheriting them - hence they do not transmit much to female offspring.

Genius so much depends on energy, & perseverance & patient determination — (patience and genius as a gift will be that high genius of ♂ compared with ♀ — that is man succeeding better than ♀, may be wholly due to the qualities which naturally follow from sexual selection
