Oct 4th 7° 50' 2 leaves with bits of meat
12° 45' cut off several glands of incurved to which had not touched the meat on both leaves
5° PM well shut
Oct 7th 8° [few words illeg] of cut off not more expanded than the adjoining ones.
Oct 8 I saw 2 or 3 Headless t as much curved as neighbors
Oct 9' do do do.
Frank made some trials of same kind & it certainly seems that motion impulse is sent from other glands to the base of those which have been cut off keeping them inflected.
