But is it not hind foot?

In the African genus Colobus, the thumb deficient (see Mivart Book) & Brehm ✔ Thierleben I. S. 50 speaks of their strictly arboreal habit & wonderful activity & powers of leaping, but whether they are more active & better climbers than Semnopithecus or Cercopithecus I know not.—
