Feb 22d /72/ The only case besides the Argus is that of the genus Brahmæa (Saturnidæ) in which, as Mr Butler has observed, there is a fine ocellus in middle of upper wing of B. certhia which when placed in better light for the proper shading appears like a strong convex surface, not strictly spherical, rising out of a coal black cavity. There are ocelli in the margin of wing of B. Swanzii but these do not appear to me to appear owing to shading, so convex. ball-like
