"Rhodes, Francis, later Darwin, 1825-1920. 1849 Married Charlotte Maria Cooper Darwin. 1850 R inherited Elston Hall under will of his brother-in-law, Robert Alvey Darwin, and changed his name. 1882 R was present at CD's funeral as head of the senior branch of Darwin family."
